Nasim Kianpour

Co-Owner & ECE Lead

Nasim is a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator with over five years of experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs. She combines a strong background in electronic engineering with advanced training in ECE, ECE-IT, and ECE-SNE to create thoughtful, well-planned learning environments. Together with her husband, Nasim owns and operates Angels Land Academy, a licensed 0–36 months group childcare centre in North Vancouver. Aurora Bay Academy is their second location, where she brings the same high standards of care, safety, and professionalism to families in Port Coquitlam. Over the years, Nasim has worked in a variety of respected childcare centres across North and West Vancouver, including roles as educator, program coordinator, and assistant manager. Her experience includes curriculum development, inclusive education, staff mentorship, and building strong, trusting relationships with families. Nasim holds multiple diplomas in Early Childhood Education (including Infant/Toddler and Special Needs) from Vancouver Career College, as well as additional training in autism and neurodiversity, first aid, food safety, and childcare administration. She is fluent in English and Farsi/Persian and is committed to creating warm, welcoming spaces where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.

Maedeh Sobhani Nezhad

Owner, Manager & ECE Educator

Maedeh is a dedicated Early Childhood Educator with strong experience in leadership, customer service, and team management. After completing her ECE certification at CDI College, she discovered a deep passion for creating warm, play-based learning environments where children feel safe, curious, and confident. Before joining Aurora Bay Academy, Maedeh worked as a daycare teacher at Angels Land Academy, where she cared for young children, planned engaging activities, and supported their social, emotional, and language development. Her background as a manager in busy local restaurants has also given her excellent skills in organization, communication, and working with diverse families. At Aurora Bay Academy, Maedeh serves as owner, manager, and ECE educator. She focuses on building trusting relationships with parents, supporting staff, and making sure each child is welcomed, understood, and encouraged every day. Fluent in English, Persian (Farsi), and Turkish, she values inclusion and celebrates the different cultures and languages of the families in her care.

Her management style emphasizes clear communication with families and a play-based curriculum that respects the natural development of little ones.
